Service Technician

A Little More About Elevate

We're passionate about raising service standards in the Kootenays. Since our rebrand in 2022 and moving away from the chaotic 'office-in-a-truck' model typical of this wonderfully laid back region, we've embarked on an exciting journey to build a legacy business while maintaining small town values. It's a long road ahead, with plenty of opportunity for learning to share.

We are already pioneers in the local industry, offering unique services not found elsewhere in the region as well as leveraging technologies to help us achieve seamless project management, documentation, and client communication. Through this focus on providing a great service experience to clients, our vision includes offering fulfilling career opportunities that support a good quality of life.

From shared breakfasts to beachside lunches, we make the most of our time together in the stunning places we work. We also prioritize building meaningful relationships with our clients, many of whom have become like family and often return our care, making our workdays incredibly gratifying.

Our mission is to build a community-oriented business where everyone wins. We recognize that we're not perfect, and there's a lot of room for growth and improvement. We welcome individuals who are eager to contribute to our journey of development and enhancement. If you're someone who thrives in an environment of progress and evolution, where your ideas and efforts can truly make a difference, then we invite you to join us in shaping the future of our organization.

You're a great fit for this role if...

  • You enjoy working outdoors, thriving in diverse weather conditions.
  • Your active lifestyle includes a passion for sports and a healthy competitive spirit.
  • You would love free time in the winter, whether it was for chasing snow, travelling, or pursuing personal interests.

  • You value setting both financial and personal achievement goals.
  • Creativity and clear expectations are equally important to you.
  • Organising, sorting, and cleaning bring you genuine satisfaction.
  • Heights and ladders pose no challenge; you relish physical tasks.
  • You enjoy problem solving, and maintaining a positive mindset during challenges is second nature to you.
  • Your entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to a shared vision drive your ambition within a team.
  • You embrace feedback and constructive criticism for the sake of your growth.
  • Smoking is not a necessary part of your work day.
  • Constantly consuming content for personal growth (ex. books, podcasts, etc) is a habit you enjoy.
  • Being rewarded in proportion to effort and outcomes is seen as a great opportunity and motivating to you, rather than a risk.
  • You are at least somewhat extroverted and making someone smile and going the extra mile gives you real joy.

Your commitment to thorough documentation via photo, video and written mediums is vital for successful communication between clients and administration or subsequent technicians. You maintain accurate detailing of all work completed, required for invoicing and addressing client inquiries post-job. Equally important is your recording of before and after photos as well as other media that could be used for post-project review and communications.

Engaging in a diverse range of services throughout the day, you continuously seek ways to enhance these services for higher quality outcomes and greater efficiency. Handling heavy items, including large ladders, and working sometimes from 2-3 stories off the ground, you strictly adhere to safety standards to ensure not only your physical longevity and well-being but also that of your coworkers.

Actively maintaining tools and the work vehicle, you also prioritise fostering good relations and morale with your team and our clients—essential elements for ensuring enjoyable and productive days.

Many days demand only a steady rhythm of work, allowing for lunch and snack breaks amid beautiful yards, beaches, and scenery. However, some days require “personal refuelling” during travel between each project, and working with a more intentional and focused pace. Whatever the speed you work, the goal is to complete tasks in a timely manner while emphasising effectiveness and maintaining high standards.

Some days, you and your team may serve up to 8 or 9 clients, while others are dedicated entirely to a single, larger project. Regardless, your daily aim is to ensure each client feels:

Their day is significantly better because you were there.

Surprised by your exceptional care, communication, and service exceeding their expectations.

5 stars just aren't enough to represent the quality service and experience they received.

Each project leaves us with enhanced documentation, helpful data and new ideas, deepening our understanding and ability to serve each client and their property.

At the end of each workday, you will fill the work vehicle with fuel as necessary, check/replenish other fluids, and remove any garbage from the day. Upon returning to HQ, you will remove personal items from the work vehicle.

Throughout each day, you actively engage in fine-tuning our processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, quality, and team experience. This might involve exploring small adjustments in how we set up or pack up a specific service, shaving off valuable seconds. It could also mean identifying an additional step we could include that would significantly improve the outcome of a service or, a step we might remove that doesn't yield an outcome equal to its cost for the client or the company. Moreover, your efforts extend to finding small gestures for each client that have a great impact on their happiness and experience. Documenting and implementing these improvements is integral to your role, recognizing their direct impact on your income, work environment, team success, and client satisfaction.

Each week, you engage in a regular one-on-one meeting with leadership for mutual feedback, ideation, and performance updates. These sessions create a safe space for you to share whatever you feel is important, actively resolve potential issues, and foster continuous exploration of how we can maximise your career with Elevate and achieve personal goals.

You participate in bi-weekly team breakfasts that provide an opportunity to collaborate on improvements in company value for clients, team members, and overall efficiency. These shared moments ensure our team is always moving forward together, enhancing the lives of everyone involved and propelling us toward our shared goals and company vision.

At Elevate Property Detailing, growth is woven into your seasonal journey. We actively foster opportunities for skill enhancement and encourage you to create your opportunities for your direct benefit. Regular, in-house training sessions focus on technical and leadership aspects, introducing new skills and refining your existing ones. Our commitment to your development extends beyond daily tasks; we invest in your fulfilling career with offsite training, providing insights into diverse perspectives, safety measures, and industry best practices. Continuous growth and improvement is not just a goal but an integral part of your professional experience.
